Aloha Friday - August 28, 2009a

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question is:

Do You Exercise On A Daily Basis?

I wish I could answer yes to this question, but unfortunately, I don't. I'm trying to do my Wii Sports Active at least every other day. Though if I did it more, I know I'd lose more weight.

I use to but have not done anything here lately. I really need to get back into it for my health.

No, but I'm currently trying to start doing it again. This week, I've gone jogging three out of four days. Go me!

Happy Aloha Friday!

Yes I do exercise every, single day. If I stop the weight comes back on.

Yep. I run every day and I do Yoga.
I cannot function without it.
Have a great Friday!

No, but I really do need to. I'm trying to get back into it. It's just hard finding time when you have a little one.

Need to start that back up. I stay busy so I know that counts.

Haha. Not a chance. But I am breastfeeding, so at least I have something to burn calories! I did ballet for many years, and I may start up again if my aging body can handle it...

I'm a runner and I do it every day. I also go to the gym 5 days a week at the break of dawn and, 2 1/2 hours later, I get home to find my hubby and the kids just beginning their morning routine. It works well because exercise makes me calmer and more relaxed. It gets ugly around here if momma doesn't get her exercise time in---ACKK!

((I also have a treadmill and a reclining stationary bike at home JUST in case I positively absolutely can't escape the house! I use them in emergencies--LOL!))

Prior to moving, I definitely exercised every day. For the last week or so though, I have barely exercised, although moving and unpacking are actually hard work!

I used to. Then my mom got sick and I was traveling back and forth so much I quit. Now I'm ready to get back into it.

I was doing great and then school started. My son had ear tubes put in the week before. It's been madness. I haven't done anything for a week. I'm starting all over on Monday with a new routine.

unfortunately i haven't been exercising much at all thanks to my left knee. supposed to go the physical therapy on weds. i tried doing the hula hoop on my wii fit this morning and two things happened: one, my knee kept making cracking noises, and two, the grinding/cracking made it uncomfortable. so frustrating cos i can't lose weight if i don't exercise. :-/

Angie,

Are you building dense muscle while replacing spongy fat? If so, you're weight might not change but your SIZE will! Have your measurements decreased? I wish Wii Fit had a place to record some basic measurements. I haven't lost much weight in the past few months, but my waist is obviously smaller and my shoulders and arms are noticely larger.

I'm currently trying to recover from a broken foot, so my weight has backslided a bit, but I'm still using Wii Fit daily so it will remind me each week how long I've used it every day. I'm nearing 35 weeks now.
